We also occasionally get asked to sell items for people or if you would like something in particular, we can generally source it for you. All meteorites will come verified and labelled with a certificate of authenticity. Most are large sized display pieces, and the only ones offered off the main mass they came from. If you only want a small bit, let me know, and I can generally trim a bit off one of the unsold pieces for you. Funds from the sale of these pieces funds our research and our public meteorite display. Please note to use the info@Xbathurstobservatory.com.au email address for meteorite enquiries. Be sure to remove the red X in the address for it to work. Or phone 02 6337 3988. (Overseas, replace the 0 in 02 with 61, but just note our time zone is about 17 hours ahead of U.S time.) After some major work, I'm about to post some new and more polished pieces. Perfect for gifts!!If you are a collector, I can also trade for pieces if you want to!(Australian residents can currently consider the U.S dollar and Aussie dollar to be the same)
NEW Meteorites for SaleBelow are some of the new meteorites that I have for sale. Most are being classified and will receive NWA numbers shortly. The classifications will be provisional and may change slightly once the analysis is completed. They are all from North West Africa. I also have a batch of small meteorites for only a few dollars each. These will be unclassified, but great for those just wanting an example of a meteorite and don't care about the type it is and not wanting to pay huge amounts. Sorry, I still haven't updated this page for some time. I have hundreds of chondrite meteorites for sale at present, other than the ones below. All sizes, from big to small! I will soon update this page to show the sorts of things we have on offer. If you are interested I can email you pictures of items that we then have in stock! Classified and Provisionally Classified Meteorites Below are listed some officially classified and those still pending official classification for sale.
Meteorites L4-5 (item numbers ULN62 and ULP91). NWA 5189, Provisional Number.A most unusual meteorite. It is either a H or likely a strange L 4-5, Shock 3, W4. It is presented either as a polished slice (or end) or rough sawn. The rough sawn faces shows the chondrules to their best, while the polished ones show the large amount of very fine metal present. Provisionally lodged as an L4-5. The above is another rough sawn slice ULN62, weighing 62 grams. $55 U.S
The above image is ULP91. It is a polished end weighing 91 grams. again nice very fine metal and some shocked chondrules. $91 U.S
There are about 3 other smaller slices, both polished and un polished of this meteorite available, so if you done like any of the above UL's et me know.

Unclassified but Studied MeteoritesBelow are listed some special meteorites. These are ones I have looked at in detail but have decided not to study them further nor to have them officially described. I have as such listed their most likely type and weathering grade, based off my initial examination of them. I would be fairly confident that the descriptions I have given them are accurate. All are either ends or some slices and I have cut and roughly polished them to highlight the interiors. Remember Postage is $5 for less than 100 grams and $10 for more than 100g.Item SHB211, Chondrite, Likely H5-6, weathering grade 4Above is SHB211, a large end weighing 211grams. Likely a type H5-6 or L5-6. Shows a bit of metal. $80
Item SLA131, an L? 5.Below is SLA131, an end that weighs 131 grams and based off appearance is a chondrite, likely an L5 type. $50
Items SHC88 and SHC52, Chondrites of either H5 or L5 types. (most likely H5)Above is SHC88. A large end weighing 88 grams. There is some metal as you can see, though most is oxidised. $35
Item OHA85, A nice shocked H5-6 ChondriteAbove is OHA85, a H5-6 end, though metal is oxidised due to weathering. Weighs 85 grams. Shock veins are present as well. $30
I also now have a large number of polished ends and slices from a few grams to about 50 grams. These have been given an extra high polish to highlight the interiors. There are a large number of them at $1 per gram. As there are a large number, just email about the size you are after and I can email a selection that would suit.
